Who we are

With little more than the faith in God and a vision for a welcoming and loving church, Seattle Community Church held its first service in October 1998 and has been growing ever since, in spirit and in size. Although our list of regular attenders continues to grow, we're still intimate enough so that people don't get lost in the crowd!

We welcome people of all ages and ethnicities, but you'll notice we're especially big on singles and young families. There are plenty of friends here for your toddlers or young children! Many of our members are Asian-Americans, but we are represented by many other ethnicities and believe that God's Kingdom is much richer because of diversity.

What you can expect

Some may see our culture as "casual", but we like to refer to it as "welcoming"! You won't see a lot of neckties or Sunday dresses here. Come as you are and feel comfortable to be yourself.

We offer two styles of Sunday services. Our Breakfast Worship (9:20 AM) is intimate with a creative worship style including a hearty breakfast!. Our Praise Worship (11:00 AM) is a much larger contemporary style with an inspiring praise band.

On most Sundays, we have small group meetings called Salt groups immediately after the Praise Worship to encourage personal relationships and deeper discussions. Visitors are welcome to join any small group or meet with a welcoming team to learn more about our church. After our hearts and spirits have been fed, we gather for tasty snacks or lunch to feed the stomach and continue getting to know one another.
