Salt
fellowship groups
The
Salt fellowship groups exist to nurture personal relationships
with God through intentional fellowship with the body of Christ.
It's mission is to welcome people into the body of Christ so
that we can learn together, serve together, pray together, and
live out the life of Christ together.
"You
are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness,
how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything,
except to be thrown out and trampled by men."
- Matthew 5:13
"For
where two or three come together in my name, there am I with
them."
- Matthew 18:20.
God
has called each of us to be in a community of believers who
will encourage and support our Christian walk. Alone, we falter.
But in numbers we have strength. So at SCC, small groups of
people called "Salt groups" come together in a more
intimate and nurturing environment so that we can actively pursue
a closer relationship with God and our brothers and sisters
in Christ.
Salt
groups meet most Sundays after the 11:00 AM Praise Worship service
as well as outside of the church setting in order to
- Welcome
newcomers and old to the fellowship of Christ.
- Gain
further insight into the sermon.
- Challenge
and follow up with each other in applying the lessons in
our daily lives.
- Pray
together about concerns of the group and the larger world
community.
- Serve
together in the church and in outreach and missions activities.
