Due to our campus closure today we invite you to worship together as a family or alone from wherever you are. We have included resources for you that should help lead you in a time of prayer and reflection. The flow of the service is reflected in the order you will find on this page, though we begin with our children's resources if you would like to use them for your family. We can't wait to see you again soon!

Dear friends and members times are tough. For everyone. The current health crisis has changed our world as we know it, forced us to try and find new ways of carrying on while realizing that we can't do things the way we used to. We are seeing economic devastation in our region that is vast and overwhelming for many in our community. Many people are watching the stock market and their portfolios with anxiety. And yet, we are called to be a people who give even when times are uncertain. To put our money where our mouth is when it comes to trusting in God's provision for our lives, not recklessly or irresponsibly, but with consideration and faith. Research has shown that 78% of all church giving comes on Sunday mornings in the building, which means now that we are not in the building we have a problem. Over the past few weeks as we have been worshiping online we have seen an almost 80% drop in giving and tithing here at SCC.

We rely on your generosity and faithfulness to do our work and serve the kingdom of God. If you haven't had a chance to give your usual gift or tithe this month we ask that you please do so now. If you are uncomfortable giving online you can still mail checks to our building, or if that doesn't work then I would encourage you to get a jar or a box and every Sunday until we are back together place your offering in it. On our first Sunday back you can bring your whole tithe and give it to God here at church. If you have young children at home this is a wonderful way to help show them what commitment and faithfulness to God looks like in times of trial and to teach them about giving. Thank you for your faithfullness during this difficult time.
