Women's Ministry Scent Cloth Making Party
We need your time and willingness to create something memorable for families and their babies at Seattle Children's Hospital. Scent cloths are used in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Parents wear these cloths to pick up their scents so when they need to leave their baby who is hospitalized, the baby has the scent cloth placed near them to still have the parent's smell which is comforting for the baby. The NICU at Seattle Children's Hospital is running low on scent cloths.
We are hoping for all hands on deck to create as many scent cloths as possible. You don't need experience, though if you have your own sewing machine and sewing shears, please bring them! Everyone with a sewing machine will be using their own machine. Please contact Stella Byunn with any questions or to join. Lunch will be provided. Please RSVP by September 5th.

Parents and kids will then have the opportunity to meet and get to know their small group leaders over lunch in the Fellowship Hall. Contact Childrens@SeattleChurch.org with questions about Children's Ministry (ages 0 - grade 5) or BostonJ@SeattleChurch.org with questions about Youth Ministry (grades 6 - 12).

Summer Explorers
Sign up now to volunteer for Summer Explorers! Join us every Sunday morning in July and August as we discover God through this creation. This year, we're off on a Kingdom Quest as we seek after the greatest treasure. The quest for God’s kingdom begins with knowing the King, Jesus. When we choose to follow Jesus and learn to know Him more, we are given the amazing mission of helping to grow God’s kingdom through the power of the Holy Spirit. It can start with the smallest thing—one choice, a kind word, an offer of help—and grow into something far bigger and more amazing than we can imagine. But seeking God’s kingdom and inviting others to be a part of it is more valuable than anything else that we can ever own or achieve or be. God has invited us on the amazing adventure of partnering with Him to bring the kingdom now, where we live, until the time when God makes everything right and brings the kingdom fully. I am especially looking for PARENT VOLUNTEERS to help me plan and lead activities that help us explore our weekly Bible Stories. Check out our Summer Explorer's Sign Up Sheet to see all of our weekly Bible Stories and sign up for the Sunday that works best for you! Contact Esther Yu if you have any questions or would like to discuss an idea.

Walk for Rice
Join us as we Walk for Rice on Saturday, May 16th, to raise funds for the ACRS Food Bank which provides nutritious, culturally familiar foods to thousands of individuals and families in need. Most food banks offer limited choices and often lack staples important to Asian, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander diets. Walk for Rice helps close that gap by raising funds for rice, tofu, fresh produce, and more. Every dollar raised helps ensure our neighbors facing food insecurity can access the foods they know and need. Register online to join the SCC team. Individual donations are not required though they can be made through the registration page (even if you aren’t able to attend the walk). The full loop around Seward Park is just under 3 miles. Contact Stacey Lee with questions.
